If you were me and lived in Colonial America (Book Review)

So I recently had the opportunity to review the book If you were me and lived in Colonial America. The book was written by Carole P. Roman and Illustrated by Sarah Wright.

I was very excited to get this book because I homeschool my children.  I knew that this would be a good little book for my kids to learn a little history.  I was happy that I was right!  This book has adorable illustrations and let’s your child almost feel what it is like to be a child during the colonial times.  You learn what is is like to be a child during this time period. You learn about religion during those times, about settlers, about how they lived and what they did.  It even talks about the first Thanksgiving.

In the back of the book are some facts about people who were important during the colonial times on the eastern shore.  You also will find a glossary.  I am happy this will be a book I can use during my next homeschool year with my kids.

The only thing in the book that I didn’t like was the mention of beer and that was what they missed the most.  I don’t think that information was needed in the book.

*Note I did receive this book at a discounted price for my honest review. #colonialamerica
